Pink Flashing - is my graphics card too powerful for the sims?

Hello Simmers,

Recently I got a new pc that includes a RTX 2080Ti (11gbs), 32 gbs of ram and Intel i7-8700k 3.7Ghz. I downloaded the sims 2 straight away and put the graphics rule fix in my game and when I loaded it up sims, hood decorations and furniture and build mode objects were flashing pink (everything apart from 'hood terrain, roads and water) I also put a help post on modthesims a couple of days ago and people were helping me straight away and when I tried everything (4gb patch, allocation memory fix, graphics rule maker, reinstalling the game, deleting thumbnails, deleting caches, changing resolution, changing 'BoolProp EnableDriverMemoryManger False' to true) the flashing pink glitch was still occuring. The gameplay is fine and runs well for some reason and I am confused. I know this is a texture problem (obviously) and it is frustrating to be honest. I've seen some forums on this website and modthesims that people with higher graphics cards (nvidia 10x0) have the same problem as I do on windows 10. I do not have custom content in my game and this occurs straight away when I download the game. I have reinstalled the game about 4 times now and I really need some help, any help would be appreciated.

Here are some pictures to show this problem
