"resetting" a comm lot

Okay, so this is the situation.

A comm lot has been owned by a sim (any sim) who eventually sold the lot back to the community. And then the stupid stuff starts.
Normally, when a sim visits a comm lot, the lot loads just the same as any other. When the progress bar is full, it may take a second or two, three before the actual lot and the sims appear on screen.
But when a lot has been owned and was sold back, at least in my game, things are different. When the progress bar is full, the loading screen stays up (sometimes for up to a minute and a half) while I can hear doors opening and closing, and sims walking around and doing stuff. And when the lot and sims then finally appear on screen, for every second that I had to wait, a sim minute has passed. So if I had to wait 90 seconds, for my sim an hour and a half has passed. Lost time in which they have done nothing, but their motives were all negatively affected. And in those 90 sim minutes, there was nothing that *I* could do with the loading screen still being up.

I do not want to start over with a clean original copy of the community lot as if it has never been owned. I want the lot to stay as it is, INCLUDING whatever changes were made to object settings while it was owned. But I *do* want the weird waiting time to be eliminated. So, my question is:

Is there a way to accomplish that? And if so, WHAT is that way?

I use my custom movies on my custom channels in TS2 UC televisions in my game.
I was wondering if there is any way to disable Maxis made commercials and movies from appearing. I don't like it when they interfere with low quality and loud & annoying sounds Smile

Hello!

I have some beautiful deco packaged food CC that I find it to be a pity that they are only deco objects. Would be nice if I could sell them in supermarkets and my sims could buy them and stock their fridge with them to have fresh/sparkling food. Anybody knows if it's possible to change this functionality? I wonder how difficult it would be.

I have certain experience with SimPe, but never turned a deco object into a functional one before.

I have some party type stuff I'm already sitting on (like the drinks dispensers and crockpots - chili and mac and cheese - bellow), and then the other day, out of the blue, I had an urge to make more "homey" looking buffet tables. I'm not sure yet how the anims will look since I lowered the serving platters, and I haven't really made it out of MS3D yet, but Lee asked so here's a look at what's going on so far.

Flashing pink neighborhood and sims.

I am having a longstanding issue with Sims 2 (UC) and Windows 10. For the first time in a year, I actually got the game to load several times without it crashing on start up and/or crashing when loading a lot.

I have done everything I could find across the internet including several things I found looking through this section of the forum. The only thing that is left is this flashing pink.

This is what it looks like when I load a lot regularly.

This is what it looks like when I put in boolprop useshadows false. This is a fresh EA folder with nothing added to it. No cc, mods, etc.

Steps I have used:
Deleted the game, cleaned out the registry.
Re-installed the game.
Increased Virtual Memory
4gb patch
Did the empty standby thing to help with memory performance.
Got the game to recognize my graphics card a small portion of my ram (I have 32gb).

I am to the point where this is a last ditch effort before I delete the game forever.

There's also this happening, inspired by Pizzatron's WCIF. If/when finished there will be a wide assortment of shapes/sizes/styles of easy recolor signage. This is just very basic, early stage, simple sign, with a rough texture for testing (in MS3D).

The frame is meshed out, as you can see, to make it simpler to recolor for people who may not be as advanced with adding depth through the texture.

This is not new, you may remember seeing it a while ago if you follow my Tumblr, but one of the current things I’m doing sort of goes along with it. A certain fish made it clear she was waiting for them to be uploaded, so here they are. Finally. Sims just serve them directly from the fridge - they are cloned from the quick meal cans. The drink level in the cups doesn’t change, even when empty, because the original cans don’t have states since you can’t see inside them. I still think they are cute and worth having at your sim’s next party Wink

Three flavors, fruit punch, sweet tea and lemonade. You can have them all or just pick the one(s) you want out of the zip. Make sure you keep the justJones_drinkServer package if you get rid of any of the flavors.

Cant get past Create a Sim

Hi, I've installed sims 2 on windows 10 by disk. No issues running the game runs really smooth, better than when I used to play on older pcs but when I enter a town and try to create a family the game goes to the loading screen and then nothing happens. Can anyone please help me?? Thanks
